Language Department Administration and Coordination (DaF/German as a Foreign Language)

I was born in Tiengen, Germany, in 1971. After completing my primary and high school education in Germany, I completed my undergraduate studies in German Language and Literature at Istanbul University. I received my master’s degree from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the same university and my doctorate in German Language and Literature at Ege University. I also received classroom teaching training at Istanbul University to acquire the necessary teacher training and participated in various pedagogical seminars.

I have worked as a German (DaF) teacher at various language schools and at the Goethe Institute in Istanbul, Schwäbisch Hall, and Berlin. I have also worked as a DaF lecturer and department coordinator at Yeditepe University and Okan University in Istanbul, and as a DaF lecturer at Ege University. I currently work as an online DaF teacher at various institutions, providing exam coaching, foreign language study techniques, and speaking skills training in the DaF field.

In my classes, I prioritize communication-focused methods, interactive activities, and comparative content connected to real-life situations. I also utilize digital tools to make my teaching more interactive, participatory, and diverse. My most important personal goal is to effectively convey not only the language but also the cultural and intellectual landscape of German-speaking countries to my students by leveraging my intercultural communication skills.
