Müge B. ERCIYAS
TMC Director of Press and Public Relations
Thanks to my high scores, I was accepted into the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department of Gazi University’s Faculty of Communication, receiving a four-year scholarship from Hürriyet Newspaper, and graduated in 1995. Since my university years, I’ve worked in various jobs related to my field. I worked as a producer on the TRT Music Range program. I also gained journalism experience at Akşam and Siyah Beyaz newspapers.
I worked as a press officer in the Press and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Tourism.
Until 2014, I worked as a Radio, Television, and Cinema teacher at the Ministry of National Education and as a lecturer at the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department of Hacettepe University. I taught courses in radio and television program production, screenplay theory, film history, press ethics, communication, body language, and diction.
I gave lectures and seminars in my field for various democratic mass organizations in Türkiye. I produced short films and promotional films for the Ministry of National Education and organized projects for students in my field, such as short film competitions.
Since 2012, I have given lectures and seminars in my field at numerous democratic mass organizations in Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia, such as the Ruhr Parents’ Association, the Hagen Democratic Turkish Association, the Bottrop Intercultural Parents’ Association, and Star Academy.
In North Rhine-Westphalia, I have served as a presenter and moderator at events organized by various democratic mass organizations, concerts featuring artists and musical groups from Türkiye, and book launches by Turkish journalists and authors.
My reason for participating in the TMC EU Project is that I want to take my years of educational, media, and cultural experience to an international level, building bridges between different cultures, and taking an active role in projects that inspire young people. I see participating in this project as a significant opportunity to share my knowledge and continue learning in a multicultural environment.
